Parma and Fiorentina are pondering bids for Genoa's energetic midfielder Giandomenico Mesto.
Both Serie A sides are looking to freshen up their midfield and the 29-year-old is rated highly by the pair.
Mesto, capped three times by Italy, has been playing for Genoa since his 2008 switch from Udinese.
The wide player, who has appeared for all of Italy's national sides between the Under-16 and Under-21 age groups, started his career at Reggina.
Mesto has also appeared for Cremonese and Fermana in the past.
Genoa could demand a fee of anything up to €7m.
