Udinese said Barcelona were favourites for Alexis Sanchez and it may be because they're offering €30m plus Bojan Krkic.
This morning President Franco Soldati confirmed “everything revolves around the economic aspect and the players offered in part-exchange.
“There are also some English sides looking at Sanchez, as Manchester City and United have been tracking him all year. So have Barcelona and at this moment they are the favourites ahead of Juventus.”
It is now reported that Barca leapt to the front of the race by offering a substantial €30m cash sum plus the loan of young talent Bojan.
The Spain international does not turn 21 until August and is already considered one of the key figures in Barcelona's future.
He hasn't had much playing time regularly and is set to be loaned out to gain experience elsewhere.
Manchester United have also been heavily linked with Bojan, but Udinese could prove to be the ideal environment for him to grow.
He would also slot in tactically with the Friulani as a replacement for Sanchez when going into the Champions League preliminary round.
