The agent of Gokhan Inler has invited Napoli to improve their contract offer if they want the Swiss international.
"Napoli and Udinese reached an agreement some time ago," Dino Lamberti told Premium Calcio.
"But, let's say, that the right phone call has not been made to us just yet."
Inler's move to the San Paolo seemed like a done deal, until Juventus came along and offered the midfielder some very tempting personal terms.
The problem is that the Old Lady have still not found a solution with Udinese over a transfer fee.
"Playing in the Champions League is not important here," Lamberti added after Napoli qualified for Europe's top club competition and Juve didn't.
"When making a decision of this kind it is the project of the club that counts and both sides are certainly right up there on that front."
It's alleged that Udinese have asked the Turin giants for €18m in order to complete their swoop for the Swiss international.
That figure is quite steep for the Bianconeri who are keen to see that fee lowered by offering cash and players.
The Turin giants are said to be willing to sacrifice Manuel Giandonato, Luca Marrone and Albin Ekdal to the Friuli outfit.
However, the Udine-based club are more interested in Frederik Sorensen, Paolo De Ceglie or Sebastian Giovinco.
