Genoa's Domenico Criscito won't start discussing personal terms with Napoli until at least the start of next week.
The Azzurri have agreed to sign a 50 per cent share in the Italian international for €6m after talks between the two outfits.
However, speaking to Radio CRC, the former Juventus player's agent insists the deal isn't done just yet.
"The fact that the two clubs have agreed is a good sign, but you need the acceptance of the player in order to conclude a transfer," Andrea D'Amico noted.
"It's nice to hear that both Presidents are enthusiastic about the deal, but we now have to take a close look at the project and discuss terms.
"I think I'll be back in Italy at the start of next week and I'll speak to Napoli when the right moment arrives.
"We've not discussed anything to do with the contract yet, so it is not just a case of finalising a few details.
"Had I already spoken to Napoli then I could be optimistic, but I haven't sat around a table with them yet. It's just a matter of time though."
