According to the latest reports from Italy, Barcelona won't be signing Alexis Sanchez, so Udinese meet with Manchester City tomorrow.
The Spaniards had been the hot favourites to pick up El Nino Maravilla this summer, offering €18m, a €5m performance-related bonus for the team and Bojan Krkic.
However, Krkic appears to have rejected the transfer, as he would prefer to join Luis Enrique's Roma side.
This opens the door for other contenders and Manchester City are diving in with a new improved offer.
Roberto Mancini's club had proposed €25m, but is set to raise that to the €30m that Udinese have asked for.
It is well known that City have been tracking Sanchez for at least a year and are in competition with rivals Manchester United.
Inter and Juventus are also interested in the Chilean talent.
Matters could come to a head next week, when agent Fernando Felicevich is due to arrive in Italy, so the meeting with City could be put back to Monday.
