Cristiano Lucarelli fears that his Napoli spell has come to an end after an injury-hit campaign at the San Paolo.
The veteran attacker joined the Azzurri from Parma last summer on a loan deal with the option to buy.
However, Lucarelli snapped knee ligaments in September during his second game for the outfit and was rarely used once he returned to action in January.
"The club's silence leads me to believe that they don't want to keep me," the forward told Radio CRC.
"I'm ready to sign a blank contract because to end my career here at Napoli would be fantastic. But if the club have other ideas then they are free to do what they want.
"Now that I am well again I really want to demonstrate to Napoli who I am. I think it would be right to do so in order to repay the affection and support of the fans.
"I hope that I am given the possibility to stay, but if not then that is fine – this experience will remain a happy one for me."
It's understood that Napoli are keen on netting a new forward, a younger striker than Lucarelli who will be 36 in October.
