Milan complete Genoa swaps

Milan have officially completed a big swap deal with Genoa involving Marco Amelia, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Giacomo Beretta.

The Rossoneri released a statement on the club website this afternoon confirming the numerous deals.

“AC Milan announce that certain transfer moves were concluded today with Genoa CFC,” read the note.

“The Rossoneri club signed on a permanent basis Marco Amelia, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Rodney Strasser and Gianmarco Zigoni.

“The club sold Sokratis Papastathopoulos on a permanent basis and renewed the co-ownership of Giacomo Beretta.”

Many of these players, such as Amelia and Strasser, were already co-owned or on loan this season.

Papastathopoulos joins former Milan defender Kakha Kaladze at Genoa.
