Antonini: 'Leo departure is rational'

Milan full-back Luca Antonini believes Leonardo's decision to join Paris Saint-Germain is “rational.”

The Inter (and former Rossoneri) Coach is in negotiations with PSG to take over as their new director of sport, ending his brief two-year management career.

“PSG are part of his past and have not shone in recent years, so Leonardo is the right man to relaunch this club,” Antonini told Radio Sportiva.

“Leo needs to decide what he will do: is he a Coach or a director? I am certain he has the right stuff to do either job, so it's not an easy choice.

“I am confident Leonardo will make the rational decision. If he makes a move, it's because he has thought about it long and hard.”

Antonini also commented on the reports that Barcelona are trying to tempt Thiago Silva away from San Siro.

“Milan won't let him get away. He extended his contract until 2016, is a phenomenon in defence and is happy here.”
