Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has promised to open his chequebook again in the January transfer window.
The Partenopei currently lie third in Serie A following Sunday's impressive 4-1 victory over Bologna at the San Paolo.
"I am happy with the result and in particular the way Christian Maggio got back on the scoresheet," De Laurentiis explained.
"We are maturing, even if we still have to grow up.
"In that sense, we will make three signings between January and June, one in each area of the team.
"One of these signings will be important," he concluded.
Napoli have been strongly linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Momo Sissoko and Espanyol's highly-rated young centre-back Victor Ruiz.
