Zamparini 'postpones' decision to sell

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini appears to have postponed his decision to sell the club, insisting that it has been difficult to find a buyer.

Zamparini announced his intention to leave football on November 10 following Palermo's 3-1 defeat to Milan because he felt his side is too often the victim of poor refereeing.

Speaking after Sunday's 2-1 win away to Cesena, Zamparini said: "I am very satisfied with the victory, but we must close the game earlier.

"We conceded too much to Cesena. I am certain that Delio Rossi will find the right medicine for the defensive problems."

Asked about his decision to sell up, Zamparini replied: "It could be a long time before my goodbye, because it's not easy to find a buyer."

Zamparini has made such threats in the past only to then go back on his word.
