Portuguese newspapers claim Inter have received yet another snub, this time from Porto manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The club is forced to look for a new Coach after Leonardo quit to become the new director of sport at Paris Saint-Germain.
President Massimo Moratti confirmed first choice Marcelo Bielsa rejected the job “due to personal reasons.”
With Sinisa Mihajlovic difficult to prise from Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri have turned their focus on to Europa League winners Porto.
However, Portuguese newspaper Record announced Villas-Boas has turned down a meeting with Moratti to discuss a move.
“This makes absolutely no sense,” said agent Carlos Gonçalves when asked if Villas-Boas had flown to Italy for talks.
It would take Inter €15m to buy him out of his contract with Porto, but the club and their 33-year-old Coach have no intention of parting ways now.
It's not purely about the Nerazzurri either, as the same newspaper claims he has already turned down an offer from Chelsea this season.
Villas-Boas would represent a return to the Jose Mourinho era, as he played the role of assistant manager to Mou in the early years of his coaching career.
