Reports are gathering pace that Inter and Manchester United will exchange Samuel Eto'o with Carlos Tevez.
Both strikers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current situation and hinted at a summer move.
This rumour had already circulated over the last couple of days, but according to the Corriere dello Sport it has taken a big leap forward.
The reason is Barcelona are very close to capturing Alexis Sanchez, as the Udinese talent is expected to sign on Monday for €39m.
Both City and Inter were pushing for Sanchez, so must now turn their attention elsewhere to fire up the fans.
Tevez and Eto'o are both valued at roughly the same price, so a straight swap would suit all parties.
The only delay is down to the Nerazzurri waiting for their new Coach to express an opinion.
