President Massimo Moratti has confirmed that there is a favourite candidate to succeed Leonardo on the Inter bench.
Speaking to Sky Sport 24, the Nerazzurri chief admitted that there is somebody in pole position, but he refused to reveal who that person is.
"There is always a favourite, but until you get everything in place there are a thousand conditions that can determine whether or not you actually get a particular Coach," he stated.
"I still have time to think things over and I think we have the time to make an important choice for Inter," he continued.
"It's not that I necessarily had to decide over the weekend. We have already given enough information for you to understand our approximate orientation."
Delio Rossi and Gian Piero Gasperini are two available Coaches who have been paired with the job.
"They are all in the top bracket," Moratti added. "I wouldn't want to offend any Coach.
"They are all good, both the Italians and the foreigners. We'll see who is the most suitable based on what I have in mind."
Fiorentina boss Sinisa Mihajlovic and Porto's Andre Villas Boas have also been suggested as possible candidates.
"I don't think we've bothered any Coaches at other teams," the oil baron claimed.
"Villas Boas has this release clause [€15m] that we certainly aren't going to trigger. But all the others are free. We'll take our time so that we can choose well.
"The chances of Luciano Spalletti [Zenit], Guus Hiddink [Turkey] and Fabio Capello [England]? We'll see and discuss that in due course."
