Casiraghi linked with Brescia job

Former Italy Under-21 boss Pierluigi Casiraghi has emerged as a surprise contender for the Brescia job.

Giuseppe Iachini will be replaced on the Lombard bench following relegation from Serie A and Casiraghi is an option.

The tactician has been out of work since he was shown the door by the Italian Football Federation for failing to get the U-21 side to Euro 2011.

Casiraghi's only other previous coaching spells have been with the Monza youth set-up and Legnano.

Giuseppe Scienza and Franco Lerda are also in the running to take over at the Stadio Rigamonti ahead of 2011-12.
