Thiago Motta's agent has confirmed that his client's future at Internazionale will depend on whom the club appoint as the new Coach.
"If it was just up to the player then he would stay at Inter," agent Dario Canovi told Radio CRC this afternoon.
"The situation inside the club is a bit confused at the moment. A lot will depend on the decision the outfit makes in respect of the new Coach.
"If, for example, they go for Gian Piero Gasperini then it would be hard to see the club letting go of Motta.
"But if it is someone else then that may make a difference."
Gasperini, who worked with the midfielder at Genoa, is a contender to replace the Paris SG-bound Leonardo.
Motta joined Inter in the summer of 2009 when he and Diego Milito moved from Marassi for an undisclosed fee.
The Brazilian-born Italian international still has two years to run on his present Stadio Meazza contract.
It has been claimed that Inter could consider his sale if an interested party were to offer €13m for his signature.
