Cassano in fresh Viola link

Antonio Cassano is again being linked with a move to Fiorentina after an alleged meeting between the Viola and Milan.

Tuscan sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is understood to have met Rossoneri counterpart Ariedo Braida in a Milanese hotel last night.

One of the topics of discussion is understood to have been the San Siro fantasista, despite recent claims by both himself and the club that he would remain at the Stadio Meazza.

Cassano's future is in some doubt given that he isn't guaranteed first team football next season in a campaign leading up to Euro 2012.

The Italian international's competition at San Siro consists of Robinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexandre Pato, Alberto Paloschi and Pippo Inzaghi.

Cassano made 17 appearances for the champions in the past campaign, but only totalled 921 minutes – that's an average of 54 per match.

The 1982-born player has been strongly linked with Fiorentina in the past few months after almost joining the Viola in January 2010.
