Domenico Criscito has reportedly shaken off his doubts and will complete the move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Genoa had agreed a fee with Napoli worth €12m, but the deal collapsed this week when the player failed to settle on personal terms.
Inter were also suggested as an option, but it seems that Criscito has accepted the move to Zenit.
He is set to sign a four-year contract worth €2m per season.
Criscito was anxious at the idea of leaving Italy to play in Russia, but it's believed Zenit Coach Luciano Spalletti personally intervened to reassure him.
