Gian Piero Gasperini has briefly spoken for the first time as the new Coach of Italian giants Internazionale.
Arriving at the club's HQ in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the former Genoa boss offered a few comments to the dozens of questions fired at him.
"It was a wonderful surprise," he stated after succeeding Leonardo at San Siro. "I'm absolutely thrilled.
"I'm very happy and I can't wait to start work – even if I'll have to wait for a while until the players get back from holiday.
"We want to have a great season and I'll promise the fans that we will do our best."
Inter will be Gasperini's biggest coaching challenge. He started his bench career with the Juventus youth side, before three years at Crotone and four at Genoa.
