Cesena have lost Luis Jimenez to Dubai club Al Ahli, while Mario Alberto Santana also rejected a move. “I only want Napoli.”
The club had Jimenez on loan from Ternana this season and were hoping to keep him on a permanent basis after he terminated his contract.
However, it is now official that Chile and former Inter man Jimenez has signed for Al Ahli, the same Dubai club that recently released Fabio Cannavaro.
Cesena were also hoping to sign free agent Santana, whose contract with Fiorentina expired this summer.
“My agent said something about Cesena, but he knows I only want Napoli,” declared the Argentine on Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Napoli know I only want them too, so all I can do is wait. They have to sell Jose Sosa before I can be signed, then I'm sure the club will call me.
“I want to wear the Napoli shirt. They were the first side to call me and clearly the more time passes, the more anxious I get.”
