Abdoulay Konko's agent has revealed that the chances of seeing his client leave Genoa for Lazio have improved.
Daniele Conte held talks with the capital club yesterday, a meeting which proved to be far more productive than their initial chat two weeks ago.
"We are now closer than we were after the first conversation," the representative told La Lazio Siamo Noi.
"However, I want to make it clear that we are not just talking about our economical demands and their offer, we are evaluating other aspects too.
"I'm waiting for a call from President Claudio Lotito and there could be some important news by the end of the week.
"There is certainly more optimism now than there was after we first spoke."
Konko, 27, is wanted to replace the Juventus-bound Stephan Lichtsteiner.
