Giuseppe Rossi's hopes of signing for European champions Barcelona are now over, his agent has admitted.
The Villarreal and Italy striker was being considered by Barca, but they have now turned their attention to Alexis Sanchez of Udinese instead.
"It's a deal that is definitely off," Federico Pastorello told Sky Sport 24 on Thursday afternoon.
"We are now evaluating a number of options for Rossi's future, but we can't rule out the possibility that he could remain at Villarreal.
"How much will he cost? His valuation is that of a top player…"
Villarreal want around €30m for the Azzurri international who was targeted by Tottenham during the January transfer window.
Juventus are understood to be interested in him, although Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero is their top target.
Inter are also a possible option for the former Manchester United and Parma attacker.
