Giaccherini: 'No offers yet'

Emanuele Giaccherini has been linked to numerous clubs, but the Cesena winger insists “I've received no formal offers.”

The pint-sized starlet burst into the Italy squad after his performances for the Sea Horses last season and was thought to be heading for the likes of Milan, Juventus, Inter, Roma or Fiorentina.

“Many clubs enquired after me, but I've received no formal offers from anybody,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.

“The transfer market is still static. I'm not tearing my hair out over it, as the ‘worst case scenario' is that I continue playing for my beloved Cesena.”

The team has been strengthened over the summer with the arrival of Adrian Mutu from Fiorentina.

“By bringing in Adrian, President Igor Campedelli has truly done a piece of magic business. Mutu is one of those players who can win you a game by himself.”
