Alvarez on 'dream move' to Inter

Ricky Alvarez has touched down in Milan ahead of his medical with Italian giants Internazionale.

The Italian club beat Arsenal and Palermo to the youngster after agreeing a €12m fee with Velez Sarsfield.

"This is a dream come true for me," he told Sky Sport Italia after arriving in Italy from Argentina this morning.

"I've always been an Inter fan, ever since I was a little boy," added the player who appears on today's front page of La Gazzetta dello Sport in an Inter shirt while he was a kid.

"I feel ready for this new adventure," added the 23-year-old uncapped attacking midfielder.

"I'm arriving at one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am here to win everything that is on offer."

The South American is expected to be handed a five-year contract by the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza outfit.

"I aspire to be like Zinedine Zidane," he added. "I go to Inter with humility and with ambition.

"I will find a lot of Argentines already at the club and they will help me to adapt to my new life, in a championship that is different from the one in Argentina.

"I really wanted Inter and I was surprised by how quickly the deal was done."
