Siena have reached an agreement with Udinese for Italian international Gaetano D'Agostino, the club have confirmed.
Catania and Bologna had also shown an interest in the playmaker, but the Tuscan outfit have announced his imminent capture.
The Roma youth product will arrive at Siena on Saturday where he will undergo his medical and sign his contract.
Siena added that the player would then join his new teammates for pre-season training on Sunday.
D'Agostino only returned to the Udine outfit this summer after his hopes of staying at Fiorentina were ended.
The deep-lying midfielder joined the Viola in a co-ownership deal a year ago, but his future was decided by a blind auction two weeks ago.
