Rossi edges closer to Juve

Giuseppe Rossi could complete his transfer to Juventus this week. "They just have to make Villarreal the right offer," said his agent.

The Old Lady have been in talks with the Spanish club for the last seven days over the Italian international forward.

"This could be the week when a number of deals may be done, including Giuseppe's," representative Federico Pastorello told Sky Sport 24.

"Villarreal have made the right request for Rossi, now Juventus have to prove how much they want him.

"However, there is not a lot missing in order to complete a deal – Juve just need to make the right offer.

"Rossi is calm and is just waiting to know what his future will hold. Yet he wouldn't have any problem in staying at Villarreal where he has a good relationship with everyone."

Juventus turned their attention to Rossi after initially looking to sign Argentina and Atletico Madrid ace Sergio Aguero.

Reports in Italy suggest that Villarreal want €27m for the American-born striker.
