Genoa target Goran Pandev wants to remain at Italian giants Inter in order to prove his critics wrong.
The Macedonian joined the Nerazzurri in January 2010 from Lazio, but he's struggled to leave an impression.
Despite arriving at San Siro with a decent scoring record of 48 goals in 159 League games for the capital club, he's only netted five in 46 at the Meazza.
"The player's desire is to respect his contract," agent Carlo Pallavicino told Radio Mana Mana.
"He started pre-season training in great physical shape and his first few outings for the side have been good.
"He wants to surprise the Coach.
"He showed how useful he was to the team under Jose Mourinho and for that reason opinions of him have become a little distorted.
"Pandev is a player who needs to express himself in any role in attack. That is a limit, but also a valuable asset."
Pandev has been linked with a switch to Genoa in a possible swap deal that could see Rodrigo Palacio move in the other direction.
