Milan legend Gianni Rivera has backed his former club to win their first Scudetto since 2004.
The Rossoneri lead the standings by three points over Lazio and five clear of Napoli. Juventus and Inter are six and nine points adrift respectively.
Although the Golden Boy, as he was named during his playing days, concedes that there is more than half the season to go, he likes the look of Massimiliano Allegri's side.
"It's a bit early to start talking about Scudetto percentages, but Milan have a good chance," he declared.
"Milan are top and thus inevitably are to be considered as one of the favourites and it's always an advantage to lead rather than chase.
"Milan are a solid team who are fielded well by their Coach, but every game in this championship has its dangers."
The San Siro giants play Sampdoria at Marassi tomorrow.
