Cagliari have published a brief note on their website confirming that they won't sign Antonio Candreva from Udinese.
The Sardinian outfit are just one of a number of clubs interested in the available playmaker this summer.
But, after seemingly agreeing a fee with Udinese, the Stadio Sant'Elia outfit no longer seem interested.
The Serie A club have claimed that their midfield department is full and no longer needs any new additions.
However, some whispers are suggesting that the club refused to meet the player's wage demands.
Candreva earns around €600,000 a campaign, whereas it is being suggested that Cagliari offered him a €300,000 agreement.
