Edinson Cavani has assured Napoli that he’s ready to play in tonight’s Copa America Final for Uruguay. “I’ve recovered now.”
President Aurelio De Laurentiis was furious at rumours the striker would be used in the semi-final after suffering a knee injury during the group phase.
The patron has again warned Uruguay not to risk him in the decider against Paraguay this evening.
“I feel able to contribute to the squad,” insisted Cavani in newspaper Ovacion.
“Will I start? That is up to manager Oscar Washington Tabarez, but if he asks then I am ready.
“I have only just got my match fitness back, but I am not afraid of picking up another injury.
“This is the most important game of my life. I can enter the history of my country.”
