Lucio and Inter have finally agreed terms on a new contract, according to reports emanating from Brazil.
The two parties have been in talks over a renewal for some weeks given that the player's present deal is set to expire in June 2012.
Lucio's agent was pushing for a contract renewal until 2014, while the club had initially only offered him an agreement until June 2013.
It's being claimed that the Nerazzurri have now agreed to the player's wishes even if there has been no official announcement.
Lucio, who had been linked with moves to Juventus, England and Germany, was desperate to remain at San Siro.
"I'm very happy at Inter," the defender stated. "Inter are a great club and I feel good in this environment.
"I can still win a lot with this shirt and I want to be ready for the 2014 World Cup Finals."
