The agent of Alberto Aquilani is remaining hopeful that his client can complete a move from Liverpool to Fiorentina.
Reports in England today suggested that the switch had collapsed, but Franco Zavaglia is optimistically looking to the future.
“The move is not at risk,” the agent told ANSA. “It’s still possible. There is no ultimatum because ultimatums should never be given in football.”
It was claimed that the proposed transfer was in doubt after Aquilani expressed his concerns about another loan move following his spell at Juventus last term.
“I don’t know what they are writing in England,” Zavaglia continued.
“However, given that he is not in the plans of Liverpool any more, the player would want a permanent move.
“Nevertheless, I repeat, the transfer is not at risk. We are just waiting for developments.”
