PSG want Pastore, say Palermo

Palermo have confirmed speculation that Paris SG are pondering a bid for €50m man Javier Pastore.

"The French club's interest in Pastore is real," Palermo sporting director Sean Sogliano told Sportitalia.

"The possibility that the player could transfer to Paris is one that does exist. Leonardo is very interested in such an option."

Brazilian Leonardo is the club's new sporting director after he left the Inter bench earlier this summer.

The Rosanero are expected to sell the Argentine international, 22, even if his asking price could be a problem.

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini insists that the attacking midfielder will only be sold for €50m.

"I think the player will wave goodbye to us this week," Zamparini stated. "We have a €20m hole in our books and our balance sheet comes first."
