Roberto Donadoni has told Cagliari not to underestimate Lecce this afternoon, especially David Di Michele.
The Sardinians have had mixed results since the new Coach took over from Pierpaolo Bisoli.
They won on his Serie A debut away to Brescia, but then lost 3-0 at home to Bologna in the Coppa Italia.
“I saw Lecce play in the first round against Milan,” said Donadoni of that 4-0 defeat.
“Since then they have gained in confidence and belief in their own quality. They are dangerous in attack, particularly with a top class player like Di Michele.
“We must work out how to hit them at the right time for maximum effect.”
Lecce are missing their other star forward, Javier Ernesto Chevanton, who begins a five-match ban for throwing his jersey at the referee after a red card.
Cagliari are without Alex Pinardi, Francesco Pisano, Mikhail Sivakov and Dario Biasi.
