Fabio Quagliarella scored in Juventus' 1-0 win against Chivas this morning, but he insists a knock to his knee was more significant than his goal.
The Old Lady ended their tour of America with a victory thanks to a first half strike from a player who missed the last six months of 2011-11 following surgery.
"For me every game is a step forward in terms of my physical condition and it helps me to forget about my injury," he stated.
The former Sampdoria, Udinese and Napoli player damaged knee ligaments on January 6 just minutes into the League game against Parma.
After months of rehabilitation, he's now back in training and full action for La Vecchia Signora.
"I did actually pick up a blow to the knee against Chivas at the exact point where I injured myself," he added. "I lost 10 years of my life in two seconds…
"However, it probably did me some good. To play and pick up knocks is the best way to get rid of your fears."
