Clubs interested in signing Andrea Poli have suffered a blow after he maintained that he wanted to stay at Sampdoria.
The Italian Under-21 international was expected to be sacrificed after the club's relegation from Serie A.
However, Poli has followed in the footsteps of captain Angelo Palombo by committing his immediate future to the club.
"I don't want to leave Sampdoria," the youngster noted. "Far from it.
"My objective is to continue wearing the Blucerchiata jersey in order to return to the top flight with this club."
It has been confirmed that Juventus spoke to Sampdoria about Poli's availability earlier this summer.
Juve director general Beppe Marotta knows the player well given that he actually signed him for Doria.
Poli was netted by Sampdoria in 2007 after a campaign at Treviso.
