Zanetti has Club World Cup dream

Inter captain Javier Zanetti believes that winning the Club World Cup would be the perfect way to end a fantastic 2010.

The 37-year-old Argentine is keen to lift his fifth trophy of the calendar year after an unprecedented period of dominance in the club's history.

"In South America the Club World Cup is always seen as the most important game because you face off against European football's best teams," Zanetti explained.

"But Inter also care about it like crazy. I want to come back from Abu Dhabi with the Cup. We will study our opponents in the next few days, but I can already say that Pachuca are a good side because Mexican football is in a great period of growth.

"We don't need to talk about the quality of Internacional and the Brazilians. But first we have to think about the Semi-Final. There aren't any easy games.

"We can conclude a fantastic 2010 with another joyous occasion for the Interista family. I am proud to be the captain of this team.

"In difficult times I frequently repeated that our moment would come. I wasn't wrong," he concluded.
