Milan are renewing their interest in Mario Balotelli, hoping Manchester City will release him on loan with an option to buy for €15m.
SuperMario is finding life increasingly difficult at Eastlands after Roberto Mancini berated him for attempting an audacious backheel flick during a recent friendly.
The arrival of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid also limits his playing time, so Italian media report he could be heading back to Serie A.
According to Tuttosport, Milan will only step forward if Manchester City make it clear they no longer require his services, as they do want to keep the negotiations amicable.
City paid €22m plus performance-related bonuses to Inter for Balotelli last year, but his price-tag has probably dropped to €15m.
The Rossoneri would prefer the so-called Zlatan Ibrahimovic method of transfer, which is a loan with mandatory option to buy at the end of the season.
This sum would then be paid off over a three-year period.
Balotelli has said numerous times he'd like to join Milan, as they are the club he supported since childhood, even though he played for their arch rivals Inter.
