Atzori 'not afraid' of Inter
Saturday 24 October, 2009

Catania may be struggling, but Coach Gianluca Atzori is brimming with confidence as he faces Inter this evening. “We’re going there to win.”

The Elefantini picked up their first victory of the campaign last weekend, although they are still locked in a tight relegation battle.

This evening they visit San Siro in a game you can watch LIVE from 19.45 UK time on ESPN and online.

“We are not afraid of Inter,” smiled Atzori. “We know they are a tank built to win, but they won’t have it easy with us.

“In the week after our first win, I saw my players with a different spirit and enthusiasm. I didn’t need to fire them up that much, as facing Inter brings its own motivation.”

It remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho will continue the 4-3-2-1 system that saw Inter thrash Genoa 5-0 last week.

“Whichever tactics Inter employ it will be an extremely difficult game for us,” continued Atzori.

“But it pains me to hear some say we have nothing to lose, as that is not true. There are three points up for grab, that’s what matters.

“I told the lads we have to go to San Siro and try to win it, as there is a chance we could get the victory.

“It is a very subtle line between victory, defeat and a draw. It’s all an issue of mentality and ours must be a winning approach.”
