Cavani flattered by Juve interest
Monday 5 October, 2009

Palermo striker Edinson Cavani has flirted with Juventus again only this time after scoring against them in Serie A.

The 22-year-old scored the opening goal in Palermo's impressive 2-0 victory over Juventus last night.

He now has three goals to his name this season and has made his case for a big move all the more compelling.

Last week, Cavani told the Italian Press it is a dream of his to join former team-mate Amauri at Juventus.

“I always think about doing my best to improve further. I am pleased that a team like Juventus can be interested in me, but to join a big club you must always work well and continue to score goals, then we'll see,” Cavani told tuttopalermo.net.

The Uruguay international has certainly emerged out of Amauri's shadow in Sicily.

He scored 14 goals in Serie A last season and is expected to record his best ever tally over the next nine months.

The next team in Cavani's sights are Livorno who were held to a mind-numbing stalemate by Siena on Sunday.
