Pandev already an Interista?
Tuesday 6 October, 2009

Lazio striker Goran Pandev has yet to sign for another club despite Luciano Moggi's claim that he has already agreed to join Inter in January.

The Macedonia international has been frozen out of Lazio's first team ever since he revealed his intention to leave the club in the summer.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito scared off a number of interested parties by asking too much for Pandev, drawing criticism from the Italian Footballers' Association.

While Lotito has since relented, allowing Pandev to resume his place in the team, the 26-year-old is destined to leave at the first opportunity.

Inter and Juventus are widely regarded as the frontrunners in the race to sign him, although Moggi insists a deal has already been done.

“Pandev will arrive at Inter in January, that's what I know from the transfer market. Eto'o will be out due to the African Nations Cup and the signing of the Macedonian player is a very good arrival in my opinion,” Moggi told Sportitalia.

Earlier today, Pandev's agent, Carlo Pallavicino, dodged a question about his client's future.

Asked about the prospect of Pandev joining Inter or Juve on Sky Sport Italia, Pallavicino replied: “We live day by day, one thing at a time.

“In the meantime, he will play with the Macedonia national team and this is important for him.

“It's always nice to resume contact with the pitch, as the last match he played was with Macedonia in September,” Pallavicino concluded.
