Yuto Nagatomo is effectively out of the Italian Super Cup after dislocating his shoulder against Celtic.
The Inter winger was stretchered off just 10 minutes into today's 2-0 win in Dublin.
He did not seem to make much contact with his opponent or the ground, but “an unnatural movement of the arm” was blamed for the injury.
The official Nerazzurri website confirms he underwent tests in the local hospital and has been given a brace to wear.
The dislocation means it is practically certain Nagatomo will not be fit for the Italian Super Cup against Milan on August 6.
That game will be played in the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing.
