Genoa are targeting Alberto Gilardino, which in turn could bring Antonio Cassano from Milan to Fiorentina.
The Grifone have already secured his Viola teammate Sebastien Frey and there is a good rapport between the clubs.
According to the latest reports, Genoa are pushing to bring in Gilardino for the new season, although it's not easy to match his €18m price-tag.
If Gila does make the move, it will effectively free Fiorentina to sign Cassano from Milan.
Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani stated he is prepared to release Cassano if the player requests a transfer.
He could well leave on loan, as FantAntonio primarily wants regular playing time in the lead-up to Euro 2012.
