Maurizio Domizzi’s injury is not as serious as first thought, so he will be available for Udinese’s Champions League preliminary round.
The midfielder limped off during Saturday’s friendly in Nice and there were fears he had suffered a thigh strain.
However, tests today confirmed it was only a twinge in the left thigh muscle.
Domizzi will rest until Sunday and won’t take part in their friendly trip to Spain.
The results do mean he should be fit to take part in the Champions League preliminary round ties later this month.
