Genoa have hopes of fielding a strike force containing Alberto Gilardino and Antonio Cassano in the new campaign.
Both players have been paired with the Marassi outfit and the club have failed to rule out their swoops.
"Could we see Cassano and Gilardino together? Nothing is impossible," Rossoblu sporting director
Stefano Capozucca is quoted as saying.
Genoa, who have already signed Sebastien Frey from the Viola, are also very interested in the Italian international striker.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Grifone can afford to buy the €15m rated striker and accommodate his contract requests.
Meanwhile, Cassano is a possible target should he decide to leave Milan in search of regular first team football.
