Samuel Eto'o released a statement to laugh off reports he had a row with Inter Coach Gian Piero Gasperini. “We just discussed tactics.”
There were rumours the Cameroon international was having problems in training ahead of Saturday's Italian Super Cup against Milan, fuelling speculation he was looking for a move to Manchester City.
“I never had a row with Gasperini,” insisted the striker on the official Inter website.
“If we talked at the Pinzolo ground, it was to discuss technique and tactics, which is normal between a Coach and a player, especially when they haven't been working together for long.
“We need to get to know each other and learn the tactics and techniques to put together in the interests of the team.”
This will be the third Super Cup for Eto'o, who already scored three goals against Lazio and Roma over the past two seasons.
