Walter Mazzarri criticised Napoli's attack and defence, but is looking forward to “the Final against Steaua Bucharest in our stadium.”
The Partenopei are still in the Europa League after a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Utrecht, having been 3-1 down.
“I am very disappointed, because with a victory tonight it would've taken only a draw against Steaua and made that game psychologically easier,” said the Coach.
“Having said that, it's a great situation for football: reaching the last game, like a Final against Steaua Bucharest in our stadium. We hope to give our fans real joy.
“Europe reserves many difficulties, just look at the elimination of Sampdoria and Juventus with a round to spare.
“We also have one of the most difficult groups, but we hope to progress.”
Liverpool are officially qualified after their 1-1 draw with Steaua, but it's a head-to-head between Napoli and Steaua for second place.
“We are here and still able to talk about our chances of qualifying, even if it won't be easy.”
Napoli had taken the lead after five minutes, but then went 3-1 down until an Edinson Cavani hat-trick completed the comeback. Emilson Cribari hit the upright in stoppages.
“We made some mistakes in defence and have to be more careful when it comes to details. Our other big fault is that we create so many chances and don't take them.”
