Inter midfielder Thiago Motta is steaming at the Super Cup defeat to Milan. “It's difficult to get over this.”
The Nerazzurri dominated the first half and were leading 1-0 through Wesley Sneijder, but two goals in eight minutes turned the game around in Beijing.
“It's difficult to get over this,” the Italy international told the official Inter website.
“We made a few mistakes too and it's a game we could've controlled better in the second half, especially as Milan didn't do much.
“We kept the defence tight in the first half and all of us knew exactly what to do. Then we fell back a little, but it's not as if the Rossoneri pushed us particularly hard.
“Their first goal came from a strange situation and the second was a long ball.”
Thiago Motta's ugly tackle on Thiago Silva sparked a scuffle on the field, but Inter were for the most part angry at the referee.
“I spoke to him many times and just couldn't understand it. He kept saying that he booked them too, but that's not the point. Every time we protested, we got a card. In football apparently you can do 40 fouls and still not get punished.”
