Inter director Marco Branca confirms talks with Anzhi for Samuel Eto'o. “We listened to their proposal, but can't close a deal in an afternoon.”
Emissaries from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala met with Eto'o at the Nerazzurri headquarters in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Milan.
“We listened to their proposal, but because this is an important player, we can't close a deal in an afternoon,” technical director Branca told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We will come back together for updates. It was an informal meeting.”
Vice-President Rinaldo Ghelfi also attended the meeting with Anzhi emissaries.
It is reported the Russian side offered over €30m for the Cameroon international, plus a contract worth up to €17m per season.
