Michel Bastos has put an end to the stories regarding a switch to Juventus by committing his future to Lyon.
The Brazilian has been monitored by the Old Lady for well over a year, but Lyon's €15m valuation was deemed as excessive.
Now, after months of speculation, the player himself has made it clear that he will not be moving clubs this summer.
"Dear Lyon fans, I've made my decision," the South America noted. "I'm staying here with you because I want to win something important.
"I feel at home here, I'm happy, and I never thought about leaving."
Bastos, 28, was being considered as the answer to Juventus' problem on the left-hand side of midfield.
Bastos' decision suggests that Juve now have a choice of just two players for the role Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas or Eljero Elia of Hamburg.
