Leonardo Bonucci is hoping to prove himself worthy of the Juventus shirt after a problematic debut season at the club.
The Italian joined the Old Lady a year ago in a €15m deal after his stunning performances in defence for Bari.
However, the former Inter man had his difficulties in Turin last term and eventually lost his first team place to Andrea Barzagli.
"I want to fully show my value, because I wasn't able to do that last season," the centre-back noted.
Juventus turned down an offer from Zenit for his services this summer, convinced that they need Bonucci to help them get back to winning ways.
"We can fight for important targets," continued the Azzurri international.
"However, we have to be able to transform these types of messages into spurring us on so that these claims don't remain just words."
